Spring is Here and Summer is Just around the Corner!
It has been busy at High Plains Community Center in 2026, and we love to see it this way!
From meetings and private events to volleyball, basketball, and everyone’s new favorite — pickleball — the building has been full of activity lately.
This year, we finally bit the bullet and added permanent pickleball lines to the gym floor, and it has been worth it. We’ve always had our dedicated crew of regulars show up and play weekly, but now we’re seeing new faces coming in to either give it a try or start playing at the Center — and that’s exactly what we hoped for.
Ready to Try Pickleball?
If you haven’t tried the new craze of pickleball yet, now’s the time. Give us a call, check the website calendar, or stop in — we will get you started. And if you aren’t ready to go all out and invest in pickleball shoes, clothes, or a paddle yet, don’t worry. We at least have the essentials to help you get started.
As we look ahead on the calendar, May is shaping up to be a busy month with weddings, basketball, graduations, meetings, and so much more.
We are also looking forward to the planning of the 250th Celebration over July 4th, along with the Dunn County Fair & Carnival taking place July 10–12, 2026.
Moving forward, our goal is to continue building and offering more community events in the coming weeks and months.
We want to hear from the community about what they would like to see happen at the Center. Whether it’s offering different types of leagues, events, or something completely new, we are always open to ideas.
